09 Jan Plans underway for Mold Food and Drink Festival 2018
A celebration of local produce, beverages and restaurants is making steady headway with its preparations for this year’s festival.
At the Mold Food and Drink Festival taking place at New Street car park this September, the organisers hope to build upon the successes of the festivities in previous years.
With a sumptuous array of fine food on offer, the family-friendly event will boast appearances and demonstrations by celebrity and local chefs. Last year’s guests included Michelin star-winning chef and author Jean-Christophe Novelli, and ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner Jo Wheatley.
Showcasing regional foodie delights, exhibitors will be championing food, produce and drinks to tempt visitors into sampling various cuisine styles. In addition, there will also be opportunities for attendees to participate in interactive cookery workshops, live music, and producer presentations.
The Mold Food and Drink Festival attracts interest from all over the country, with more than 13,000 people expected to attend. It opens at 10:00 am on each day, with the outdoor food court staying open until well into the evening.
Not forgetting the kids, the event sees the return of the popular Children’s Cookery School and Food Science Lab. Sessions will be free, but must be booked in advance.
A chance to sample top-quality regional food in this scenic part of the country could provide the ideal day out for those whose second home is a static caravan in North Wales.
This year’s event takes place on the weekend of September 15 and 16, and more information can be found on its website.
